Custom Wall Art & Personalized Art
Make your walls more personal. Find original wall art and custom designs, including personalized subway signs, vintage travel posters, hand-painted farmhouse signs, pet portraits, and colorful protest posters. My work is inspired by places I’ve traveled, vintage graphics, classic typography, and photos I’ve taken along the way. Find a ready-made piece you love, or work with me to create something uniquely yours.
Hi, I’m Michael. I started Transit Design in 2010 after searching for a vintage subway sign and thinking, “I could probably make one myself.” So I did.
Since then, my subway signs have led to original travel posters, custom wall art, and whatever else catches my eye. I’m a graphic designer who loves typography, classic design, and travel, so the mix is pretty eclectic.
I’m glad you’re here. I hope you find something you like.
Looking for something one of a kind? I create personalized art from your places, photos, names, memories, and ideas. From custom subway signs and family-name art to pet portraits and anniversary keepsakes, we can create something that feels unmistakably yours.
